You wouldn't believe it. The other day, I was headed out the door on my way to pick up Reggie. I walked pass the kois' tank, which we've placed atop a 4-foot-tall shelf, heard a little splash and thought nothing of it. The kois tend to get jittery and do that whenever anyone walks by. Nearly out the door, I realized that I had forgotten something in the living room and went back. I almost yelped when I saw a shadow on the floor. At first, I thought it was a large gecko but as I bent closer I knew it was the koi! It had jumped out of it's tank and 'flew' almost 6 feet away!!!
It took me a few minutes to get my bearings and finally put it back into its tank which - you have probably guessed by now - doesn't have a lid.
I am still in shock. Frisky little sucker!! I've been trying to talk Reg into giving away the koi or bringing them back to the pet shop (we have two) because I was so traumatized.
Oh, if you haven't watched Robots, Reg and I recommend it! Really good film. I like it especially because a lot of times, you'll find films geared towards children containing quite adult content (sexual innuendo, some profanity)!! I've already made a vow to be mindful of this when I have children of my own. Anyway, this one was really good and I'm positive you'll enjoy it. I give it two
. Next week, I will be reviewing ...
LOL! This is the second movie I've recommended, huh?
GOODNESS!! I was eating kelaguen and I stopped to take a bite and bit right into a doni-pepper!! Just finished grabbing a slice of cheese to munch on for the meantime. This is beacuse I read once that milk helps diffuse the ingredient in peppers that causes the stinging. It's working!
Anyway, I just wanted to share my near-catastrophe with our koi. I should be getting back to the chores that I put off doing my entire Easter break. Happy Easter, everyone!
